HRM Asia’s CHRO Indonesia will convene on 14 August 2024, at Park Hyatt Jakarta, bringing together the country’s CHRO for a day of thought leadership, networking, and strategic planning. As organisations grapple with a rapidly evolving world of work, CHRO Indonesia offers a platform to address critical challenges and explore innovative solutions.

The one-day conference will delve into key trends that are currently impacting HR, including building a culture of belonging and equity, developing a people-first approach to upskilling, and deploying innovative HR technologies.

For instance, a leadership think tank titled Embracing Digital HR Transformation and Purposeful Technology Enablement for the Future of Work will delve into how innovation drives HR transformation and optimises operating models. Leaders like Aloysius Budi Santoso, Chief of Corporate Human Capital Development, Astra International; Evi Damayanti, Chief Human Capital, Bank Danamon Indonesia; Dharma Syahputra, Director and CHRO, Kimia Farma; and Debora Bangun, Chief People and Corporate Strategy Officer, DANA Indonesia, will outline the roadmap to digital HR, dispelling myths and enhancing workforce agility and technology fluency.

Winning the war for talent in today’s competitive landscape is a key focus of another talk, Proven Strategies and the Game Changer to Hiring, Development and Retaining Top Talent. Presented by Irsyad Sahroni, Director and CHRO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, the session will explore what today’s employees value, provide data-driven insights into talent management, and offer practical initiatives for talent mobility, career pathways, and succession planning to ensure business continuity.

Another session is a fireside chat titled A Holistic Approach to Workforce Upskilling and Capability Development in the Age of GenAI that will feature insights from Eklavya Bhave, Head of Asia for Coursera; and Lianawaty Suwono, Director of Bank Central Asia. They will discuss blending operational gains with a people-first mindset, identifying skills gaps, and reinventing learning and development strategies to align with employees’ needs in the gen AI era.
