- Josephine Tan

As organisations navigate an era of rapid change, workforce management has emerged as a critical factor for success. With talent being a key competitive advantage, organisations must attract, develop, and retain high performers to secure their future.
At HR Tech Asia 2025, the Workforce Transformation conference track will delve into the strategies organisations can leverage to attract, develop, and retain top talent, positioning HR leaders to drive success through transformational workforce strategies. The Workforce Transformation track will focus on how organisations can strategically manage talent, nurturing high performers and preparing them for leadership roles of the future. With a combination of cutting-edge insights and actionable strategies, the sessions are designed to equip HR professionals with the tools to navigate an increasingly complex and rapidly changing workplace landscape.

One of the track’s highlights will be a keynote from Kevin Oakes, CEO of the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp), titled The Future-Ready Culture: Proven Traits of Agile, Engaged, and Prepared Workforces. Oakes will explore the dynamics of human intelligence and AI, offering insights on how organisations can balance embracing technology and maintaining a people-first strategy. Attendees can expect to hear about choosing curiosity over fear while setting appropriate guardrails to foster learning and innovation, all while driving AI-powered productivity.

Another keynote, Unleashing Talent for Competitive Institutional Capability, will be delivered by Joydeep Bose, Managing Director and Group CHRO at Olam International. This session will delve into identifying and defining an organisation’s unique “superpower” and using institutional capability levers to build a strong talent strategy. Bose will also discuss embedding a culture of agility and innovation and how organisations can build leadership capabilities and succession plans to ensure sustainable growth.

Dr Jennifer Tan, Managing Director and Head of Workforce Transformation and Learning Organisation Design, Group HR, at OCBC, will lead a session on Learning and Workforce Transformation Metrics for Skills-First, People Growth, and Talent Mobility. This session will focus on enhancing business impact through skills intelligence, integrating career pathways with performance excellence, and fueling talent mobility through targeted skilling programmes. Attendees will walk away with an understanding of how to leverage these metrics to maximise workforce potential.

Angelina Chua, Human Resource Director, Asia-Pacific, for COFCO International, will share her expertise on Recruit to Retain: Democratising Employee Rewards and Recognition. In this session, Chua will examine how organisations can rethink their rewards and recognition programmes to motivate and retain talent and drive tangible business results. The discussion will extend beyond a paycheck, diving into the non-monetary aspects employees value, helping organisations create a more compelling and attractive work environment.

And finally, Dr Ir. Aloysius Budi Santoso, Chief of Corporate Human Capital Development at Astra International, will address Redesigning Roles to Enhance Organisational Agility for Long-Term Success. In a rapidly evolving business landscape, agility is key. This session will focus on how organisations can redesign roles to align responsibilities and skills with organisational needs, diagnose job redesign needs, and create a flexible, multi-skilled workforce capable of thriving in change.
Beyond the compelling conference tracks, HR Tech Asia 2025 will feature an extensive exhibition showcasing cutting-edge HR technologies and solutions from a wide array of sponsors and exhibitors. This provides an opportunity to network with industry peers, explore innovative solutions, and forge valuable collaborations.
