During the COVID-19 pandemic, workforce priorities are shifting and companies are operating in uncertain circumstances. Business models and roles are also evolving rapidly, creating volatility for leaders and employees alike.

Leaders’ most important responsibility, perhaps more so than ever, is to create a climate in which employees feel comfortable and supported in their efforts to learn and change, said Rizing, who will be presenting a session titled Leadership for Learning at HR Tech Fest Connect 2020, a two-day online conference taking place from May 12-13.

Rizing’s session, which will take place on May 13, from 3.45pm to 4.15pm, Singapore time, will be helmed by Mark O’Donnell, Senior Vice President, Operational Excellence, Rizing; and Rosie Cairnes, Regional VP, APAC, Skillsoft, who will also highlight how employees need to feel enthused to develop knowledge that will be useful both to the organisation and themselves.

Participants to the session can also discover how Rizing is embracing learning partnerships and tools to navigate perpetual change, strengthen learning culture and build a strong pipeline of leaders.

In a changing world, businesses are having to adapt to cyclical changes. When operations are disrupted, a solid business continuity plan (BCP) is essential to ensuring that systems and workflows remain intact.

As part of the BCP to protect employees’ health and well-being, companies have to coordinate with their staff to work from home (WFH) at a scale that had never been seen before. The challenge for businesses is therefore, on how to leverage technology to maintain productivity during a WFH environment.

In this session by Workday , titled Organisational Agility During Global Business Disruptions, a panel consisting of Wong Pei Woan, Head of Solution (HCM), Asia, Workday; Annie Lim, Head of Talent Acquisition and Diversity Outreach, Asia Pacific Japan, Citrix; and Sudhir Agarwal, CEO, Everise, will explain how forward-thinking organisations have leverage technology to pivot quickly to new technologies.

They will also share their learnings in what could eventually be a ‘new normal’ for work in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The session takes place on May 12, from 12pm -12.30pm.
