HR Tech Fest Connect 2020: Navigating a changing workforce
- Shawn Liew
As COVID-19 continues to create uncertainty around the world, there is little certainty on how the business landscape will look like even when recovery from the pandemic begins. What will be the ‘new normal’ of work, and how can companies adapt to the disruption and changes?
To answer these questions and more, some of the leading companies in the HR and Tech space will converge on HR Tech Fest Connect 2020, a two-day online conference which will be held on May 12-13.
John Antos, Vice-President Strategy and Marketing Asia-Pacific, Automatic Data Processing (ADP), will provide practical insights and the impetus companies need to drive HR strategies in direct response to what the modern workforce wants, so as to better attract and retain talent.
Lim Shoon Yin, Global Diversity and Inclusion, Asia Practice Leader, Microsoft, will discuss what companies can do to engage diverse employees, improve inclusiveness and productivity and prepare for a new normal. Udaiya Karuppasamy, Specialist Sales Lead, Modern Workforce, Microsoft Asia Pacific, will also demonstrate Project Cortex, a new AI-powered service in Microsoft 365.
Wong Pei Woan, Head of Solution (HCM), Asia, Workday, will be joined by Annie Lim, Head of Talent Acquisition and Diversity Outreach, Asia Pacific Japan, Citrix and Sudhir Agarwal, CEO of Everise, in a panel discussion. They will highlight how forward-thinking organisations have leveraged technology to pivot quickly to new workstyles and share their learnings in what could eventually become a ‘new normal’ for work.
Johannes Eckold, Director, HCM Strategy and Business Development ASEAN, Oracle, will explain how HR leadership will be the key difference in how organisations and employees adapt to change, and provide some tips on how organisations can master leadership and keep employees focused, connected and engaged.
In a joint presentation, Alexander Roche, Principal Education Technologist and CEO of Androgogic, and Lars Hyland, Chief Learning Officer of Totara, will detail why people matter more than ever today and what motivates us at work. They will also discuss the role of technology in integrating learning, performance management and engagement.
Steve Bennetts, EX Solutions and Strategy, Qualtrics, will explore how HR teams should be managing their employee experience programmes to keep teams engaged and productive. He will also provide guidance on how to identify how employee expectations have changed, and what areas of the employee experience companies need to focus on.
Mirela Lane, Solutions Architect, APA, HireVue, will examine the changes that many businesses are making to their hiring processes in light of COVID-19, whilst highlighting the longer term benefits of making these digital transformations.
Inna Wahlberg, General Manager Asia, Ascender, and Donovan Low, Head of Business Development Asia, Ascender, will emphasise why the role of HR is pivotal to the success of an organisation. They will also attempt to empower companies to understand what business leaders care about and how HR leaders can articulate the value of employee engagement to get projects approved.
Other leading companies speaking at HR Tech Fest Connect 2020 include Salesforce, who will be sharing how they are using technology to empower their employees, as well as some best practices on how to digitise processes that can make “working from anywhere” a comfortable reality for organisations.
