HR Tech Fest Connect 2021: What’s happening on Day 2

After an engaging and successful opening day, HR Tech Fest Connect 2021, Asia’s largest regional flagship conference for HR and work tech, continues on Friday, May 28 with an opening keynote from Dr Terri Horton, Workforce Futurist and Founder of FuturePath.
In her presentation titled Think, act and perform like a futurist, she will provide a framework for thinking, acting and performing like a futurist through resilience, hyper-relevance and ‘audacious boldness’.
Providing insights into how your organisation can implement a new model of workplace learning, is Eklavya Bhave, Regional Director, APAC and Japan, Coursera. During his presentation titled A skills-first approach to workforce learning, Bhave will explain the critical role organisations have to play in skilling their workforce for transformation brought forth by technological adoption.
Suchita Prasad, Leadership Development, Talent and Change Management Expert, McKinsey & Company, will highlight why preparing for the future of work has never been more integral for organisations.
In her presentation titled What’s next for the future of work: Organise, leap and strengthen, she will provide tips on how organisations can organise for the future of work, leap forward in iterative ways, and strengthen the skills and capabilities that will be critical for success.
Also joining us is Charles Ferguson, General Manager, APAC, Globalization Partners, who will discuss the power of technology to spread ideas at a faster and more effective rate than ever before, in his presentation titled What to do when everyone is everywhere: Global remote teams.
With the emergence of a hybrid workplace, what are the responsibilities of employers, and how far do their duties extend and what do they cover? Kala Anandarajah, Head, Competition & Antitrust and Trade, Rajah & Tann Singapore, will answer these questions and more in her presentation titled Managing health and safety in a hybrid workplace – What are the new laws and policies.
What are the key attributes that will define a leader’s success in today’s world? Be sure to attend the Level-up your talent decisions with the power of context: What are the new metrics session presented by Michael Lee, Managing Consultant, South-East Asia, SHL, who will share how leaders can use data to help uncover “hidden gems” within their organisations and improve diversity and inclusion.
To find out how to create a DEI culture, join Sophie Guerin, Head of Diversity & Inclusion, APAC at John & Johnson, as she outlines the three trends to watch out for in the DEI space. During her presentation titled 3 new trends for your DEI strategy in 2021, Guerin will also provide practical examples based her experiences in the D&I field.
For Fabian Lim, Senior Assistant Director, Sales, Business & Channels Development, Sentosa Development Corporation, his Engaging Employees with out-of-the-boardroom experiences session, will provide tips on how to strengthen interpersonal connections and amid remote working arrangements, and how out-of-the-box turnkey solutions can lead to improved productivity among employees.
Rounding up HR Tech Fest Connect 2021 is Sulaxmi Prasad, HR Director APAC, Herbalife Nutrition. In her presentation titled A new vision of employee wellbeing in the workplace, Prasad will provide tips on how organisations can build an impactful wellbeing strategy, as well as integrating and addressing different aspects of wellbeing.
