Weird: Giant python crashes staff meeting at Chinese bank

Talk about a wake-up call - employees at a bank branch in China were startled when a giant snake dropped in.

Employees at a bank in Nanning, China found a surprise visitor gate-crashing their morning meeting: a 1.5 metre long, 7.5 kg python.

As seen in video footage, below, the snake drops from the ceiling in the midst of the briefing. It lands dramatically in the middle of the gathered circle of employees, sending them scattering as they realise who – or what, as it were – their unexpected guest is.

A snake catcher, reportedly from the Nanning wildlife authority, later arrives on the scene to capture the errant reptile. It will now be re-homed at a local wildlife centre.

Oddly, this is not the first time that the bank branch has been visited by a snake. Another serpentine visit is said to have occurred last year.
