The global pandemic has become the accelerator for one of the biggest workplace transformations of our lifetime. This new era of HR and the workplace require organisations rethink, reimagine and transform their navigation strategies to spur post recovery and cope with the new norms.

Work-from-home arrangements are here to stay and employee experience and communication will never be the same again. The challenge for employers was already difficult in the best of times, and it’s even more so now.

Speaking exclusively at the HR Tech Fest Asia Online 2020 which is happening from September 29 to October 1, Tim Sackett, President of HRU Technical Resources and global HR Influencer, will be giving insights on how employers can adapt to this new world of work and continue delivering great employee experience – even if they are more physically apart than ever before.

“As our world has been turned upside down by COVID-19 and so many of our employees have been thrust into work from home arrangements, Employee Experience (EX) for HR departments around the globe has taken on a new and very different meaning,” he said.

“Delivering a great employee experience when you can see and touch your employees daily is much easier than when those same employees are mostly working remote. Organisations have found that delivering a work at home EX has been extremely difficult to pull off.”

Delving deeper into communication in the new world of work is Jeanne Achille, founder & CEO, The Devon Group and Conference Chair, Women in HR Tech Summit, U.S. and Singapore.

Achille will examine how authentic and transparent communications motivate workers, create trust, and even help to win market share.

She will also discuss why HR needs to work closely with leadership to ensure communications alleviate the emotional pressure being experienced by workers and, instead, establish passion and purpose.

“Historically, there’s significant focus on building high-performing cultures; however, many companies have failed to put employee communications at the core. Culture and communications go hand-in-hand and, given the impact of COVID, most workforces are remote making a disciplined approach to employee communications even more important,” she said.

“Like building a great culture, leaving it to chance isn’t an option. By failing to engage employees frequently and meaningfully a company risks impacting productivity, customer satisfaction, and its long-term economic viability.”
