“We still have a lot of work to do to anticipate various challenges. Hence, we need a new resolution,” Fauziyah said at the 2022 Ministry of Manpower Resolution event.

She said the ministry has formed innovative resolutions, including nine breakthroughs, for economic recovery. These include transforming job training centres (BLK), employment link and match, transformation of employment expansion programmes, the development of young talents, and the expansion of overseas job markets.

In addition, the ministry has drafted a new vision for industrial relations, labour inspection reforms, development of the digital employment ecosystem, and bureaucratic reforms.

Under bureaucratic reform, there will be refinement and improvement of laws and regulations in the labour sector, including amending or removing those which are considered to hamper progress, have ambiguous interpretations, or those which overlap.

Also, one of the priorities of the ministry in 2022 is for each unit within the ministry to support and collaborate in making the G20 forum a success, Fauziyah said.

“I am sure this G20 forum will greatly help us in efforts to recover the national and global economy. We must realise that the recovery of our national economy cannot be done without economic recovery on a global scale,” the minister said, according to Antara News.
