It is not just in Singapore that the Management Development and Consultancy (MDC), the corporate learning and development arm of the Management Development Institute of Singapore, is leaving its mark.

It has an overseas business arm that is spreading its curriculum and teaching methodologies as far afield as East Timor, the Maldives, and Nigeria. Sharmila Naidu, Deputy Head of the MDC, says this is deliberately in line with the organisation’s vision, which aims to make MDC “the choice for lifelong learning with global recognition”.

“We have also participated in several international projects from the United Nations Development Programme, the World Bank, and other development funding agencies – we are eager to open up to more markets and industries  in the region and beyond,” she said.

“We are committed to provide a holistic approach to deliver interactive and strategy-focused customised programmes that create high performance individuals,” she added.

It was therefore an exciting win for the MDC team, and Naidu was quick to thank the organisation’s clients for their votes and encouragement. “We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for their kind support and look forward to continue meeting their training needs,” she said. “We are honoured and proud to have won the Best Learning and Development Provider award.”
