With most of the workforce now working remotely because of the COVID-19 pandemic, are organisations effectively managing their employees, asked Rahul Goyal, Managing Director and General Manager, India, South East-Asia, Automatic Data Processing (ADP).

“While remote work requires the right technology and tools to keep your employees connected, equally important is the way that you are managing your teams.”

Goyal will be speaking at HR Tech Fest Connect 2020, a two-day online conference which will be held on May 12-13. In his session titled Building a Strength-based Organisation, which is taking place on May 12, from 10am to 10.30am, Singapore time, Goyal will share ADP’s transformation journey towards a strength-based organisation.

Modern HR teams need to deliver a positive employee experience – across the pillars of pay, career and well-being in the workplace – to engage their people and help perfect what they are collectively working for.

This, explained John Antos, Vice President Strategy and Marketing, Asia Pacific, ADP, involves paying staff fairly in the way that suits them best, giving people the room to grow and learn new skills, ensuring open and healthy company cultures, and enabling ways of working that bring out the best in talent.

“But to do all of this, you must first understand your employees’ needs,” Antos added. His session, titled Workforce View 2020: Harness These Global Employee Survey Findings to Transform Your HR Strategy, will draw on from key findings from ADP’s 2020 Workforce View Study.

The study scrutinised the responses of over 30,000 employees around the world, probing the important nuances behind the imbalances and frustrations that can cause companies to suffer stalled growth, the loss of critical skills, and an inability to attract the right talent.

Antos’ session, which will take place on May 13, from 10am to 10.30am, aims to provide the practical insights and impetus needed to drive HR strategies in direct response to what the modern workforce wants, so that talent can be attracted and retained.

The decisions we make today will have a lasting effect on the future of talent, said Mirela Lane, Solutions Architect, APAC, HireVue.

She explained, “With the world changing around us, we have a once-in-a-career opportunity to transform our hiring processes and embrace the value of technology.”

Lane’s session, titled The New World of Hiring: The Opportunity to Challenge The Status Quo, will explore the changes many businesses are making to their hiring processes in light of COVID-19, whilst highlighting the longer-term benefits of making these digital transformations.”

For more insights from Lane, be sure to tune into her session on May 13, from 2pm-2.30pm.
